It’s so very hard to believe that another year has simply passed by. I don’t know what it is, but something about this year has just made it literally fly right by and I feel like I barely blinked! I know we probably all think it at one point in time, but it makes me realize even more why I am so passionate about what I do. I’ve said it before, photographs are such an important part of our lives, letting us capture one moment in time and freezing it forever. You simply cannot put a price on your memories.

My “baby boy” turned five just a few weeks ago, and I am still having a hard time with that. You see, usually by the time I had a five year old, I also had a newborn, so it’s hitting me a little harder knowing that stage of my life is past. Many of you know from my recent posts over the last few months, that maternity and newborn sessions are among my most popular (and favorite) sessions, but I also enjoy thoroughly families and children. Canadian Beauty! | Hawaii Maternity Photography

When Nicole contacted me about doing a maternity session for her…while she was on vacation…from Canada…I was HONORED to say the least! Upon meeting her and her sweet husband, I was very exited about our evening session even more so. I could tell almost immediately that we would have fun! Now, I can honestly say, I had THE MOST fun session ever with her and she was up for anything! She was ready to climb up and on, and thru rocks, and water…scaring me half to death in the same breath! The highlight of the evening was both of us almost getting washed away by a suddenly HUGE wave….but she was fine, and the camera was fine! It was hilarious, both of us laughing so hard, I could barely breath! Fun times!

Thank you Nicole for a very fun and memorable session! I hope the remainder of your trip was just as fun! I’ll be sure to look you up if I ever get to make it up to Vancouver! Enjoy!

Beautiful Family from Down Under | Hawaii Family Photography

Yes…as in Australia! I was absolutely honored when mom contacted me to capture her families memories of their vacation here in Hawaii. You see, the “K” family traveled all the way from beautiful Sydney, Australia to vacation here on Oahu. I have always dreamed of vacationing in Australia, and even requested to stow away in their luggage when they fly back. Ha! Someday….

We had a fun morning running around in the garden chasing little “P”! Like most 2 year olds, he wanted nothing to do with picture taking…of course…there are more important things to do in their world! But I was still able to get him to help me find some lizzards and chickens!
